We are proud to operate our Mount Gambier cold storage facility, strategically positioned midway between Melbourne and Adelaide. This central location allows us to efficiently service growers across South Australia and Victoria with premium, technology-driven seed potato storage and handling solutions.

Our Mount Gambier site now comprises four purpose-built, temperature-controlled storage rooms, delivering a total storage capacity of approximately 3,300 tonnes.

Storage Configuration:

• Two 750-tonne rooms
  Equipped with QCC40 cooling units, delivering optimised airflow, uniform temperature control, and energy-efficient operation.
   
• One 1,300-tonne room
  Fitted with a QCC60 cooling unit, designed for larger batch processing and enhanced climate stability.
   
• One 500-tonne room
  Equipped with a QCC40 cooling unit, ideal for smaller or segregated seed lots requiring precise management.
   

All rooms feature:

Mount Gambier now includes a fully operational grading and sizing facility, enabling growers to manage storage and preparation in one integrated location.

The upcoming Optica Q will introduce high-precision optical inspection technology, capable of detecting external defects and improving grading accuracy beyond traditional mechanical systems.

The MV09 will deliver enhanced size consistency, higher throughput capacity, and improved efficiency for larger programs.

A future Midema cutting line will expand our offering into precision seed cutting, enabling:

Our Manjimup facility delivers approximately 2,800 tonnes of specialised seed potato cold storage capacity, purpose-built to preserve quality, maximise dormancy control, and protect planting performance.

Designed specifically for seed storage, the facility integrates advanced cooling, airflow management, and precision handling systems to ensure optimal conditions from receival through to dispatch.

Coldahold utilises Quadro Compact Cooler Vario (QCC) systems, providing industry-leading environmental control and efficiency.

Key features include:

• High-efficiency cooling performance with flexible capacity adjustment
   
• Energy-optimised operation, automatically adapting output to suit varying room loads
   
• Advanced airflow management, with three high-performance fans per compartment delivering up to 60,000 m³/hour at 50 Pa
   
• Rapid pull-down capability, ensuring prompt post-harvest cooling and stabilisation
   

This technology enables consistent temperature distribution throughout the room, protecting seed integrity and reducing storage risk.

Our integrated grading and sizing line operates at approximately 10 metric tonnes per hour, providing growers with accurate and reliable seed preparation.
